美德是勇敢的，善良从来无所畏惧。(英国剧作家 莎士比亚. w。)
3.morality is not really the doctrine of how to make ourselves happy but of how we are to be worthy of happiness。
There are moral standards in all societies, and these standards vary from society to society. however, one fundamental moral standard for everyone is that an individual should be able to tell from right from wrong, and that since the individual knows what is the right thing to do, he/she should not do the wrong (bad) thing against his/her conscience.
Moral is very important because without moral or moral standards for its people, a society will not function properly. For instance, what if everyone spits on the ground and cut down all the trees? this would lead to the destruction of the environment. by destroying the environment, the world will be in chaos one day because lives will be destroyed. also, if everyone does bad things to everyone else, how can this world function? thus, moral standard is very important.
the dictionary definition of moral is: of, pertaining to, or concerned with the principles or rules of right conduct or the distinction between right and wrong; ethical. this definition clearly demonstrates that each individual has the responsiblity to behave properly in a society and to not do things against his/her conscience.
Traditional wisdom has it that slow and careful work yields perfect results. But nowadays many companies force workers to finish their tasks as fast as they can, even by lengthening the working hours. As is shown in the picture, workers in aconstruction site have to keep on working until midnight.
Such a practice is very harmful. First, it cannot ensure the quality of the project. Overworking makes workers feel exhausted, some of whom might be absent-mindedand fail to fulfill their tasks with adequate energy. Second, workers are not provided with satisfying working conditions. In the picture we find no lights or other facilities for lighting, and the workers work by the moonlight and thus are very likely to have accident. Thirdly, it goes against China's Labor Code which prohibits employers from forcing workers to work more than eight hours per day without overtime pay.
Therefore, we have every reason to take immediate measures against this negative practice. The government should strictly enforce the Labor Code, as well as take workers' rights into serious consideration. Working conditions should also be improved so as to prevent workers' getting physical injuries or harm. Only by thesemeans can we avoid producing poor-quality products and maintain worker health.
